My client for the Morina & Stagnitta project planned a trip to Italy to visit the towns of her ancestors in Sicily. In fact, she was going to lead a tour group of about 20 (including siblings, cousins, and friends) on this fabulous journey.
When she indicated she planned to visit the cemetery in Linguaglossa, I was able to put together a list of her ancestors buried there.
If you look at the burial records found, you will see they designate burial in the "Cemeterio Comunali" which was the town cemetery for Linguaglossa.
While there were not many death and burial records online for Linguaglossa, Catania, Sicily, there were enough to make the visit memorable. And who knows, maybe more ancestors were found as they explored the grounds of the cemetery.
Visiting cemeteries is a great way to honor our ancestors.
